Thanks to Sven over at From 10 to 300mm for being the first person who posted a comment on my Word Blog, he is also celebrating his 2nd birthday (not “his” birthday-the blog) so swing by and wish him a happy birthday. He is going through a huge redesign of his blog and is changing the way Pixyblog looks.

That brings me to my text blog. As part of your subscription to Pixyblog you get a text blog as well as an image blog, all hosted on the pixyblog server and under your main domain. I decided not to go that route. I am using a separate server and domain name as well as WordPress. There are a few reasons for this but my main thought process is I want to become more familiar with WordPress and all the options this powerfull blogging platform provides. It also comes with a iPhone app that will allow me to post remotely without using third party vendors.

Hopefully I will have time to post a tutorial today. Im on call so fingers crossed.

It has taken me quite a while to get this far, my plans for a text blog never quite got off the ground due to work and the summer months of Triathlons. My overall goal for the blog is to share some of the things I have learned over the years and give my opinions on all things photography and digital image editing.

Tomorrow, I’m going to Scott Kelbys seminar in Philadelphia. I plan to update through Twitter and mobile Word Press.

Next weekend I will post a Photoshop tutorial on how I straighten my images, sounds dull, but I assure you that most of you wont have seen it.
